We visited this place at the weekend,  but actually, it's not a tourist spot, just a few seconds' view of Flamingos. We can see only flamingos there, through a hide, There is a telescope kind of instrument that helps to see the flamingos much closer distance. We couldn't spend this spot for a whole day 😪.

Reaching here from a long distance is total time waste at all.

The Ras Al Khor sanctuary is so beautiful.  We can stay close of the flamingos 🦩. They are feeding the flamingos between 4 to 5 pm (around 4.30pm) . It’s amazing.. Kids will enjoy the views.

Great location to observe the all year around living population of flamingos in complete freedom. Free access to the hideout, but only a small parking outside. The best time to go is is during the afternoon just before sunser when the animals get closer to feed on the muddy area next to the observatory.

This is one place I would like everyone ( both residents & Tourists) to visit whenever in Dubai & this is located in the heart of the city. There are 3 air-conditioned viewing towers and these are open from 7 am to 6 pm and is free of cost. Both adults and kids would love this & you do not have to travel to Africa to see Flamingos in dozens & they are available to view throughout the year. The best time to view them is early morning & evenings between 4-6 pm. Though winters are the best time to see them as the wetlands are literally covered by them, however in summers you can see many flamingos so no need to worry. Parking is limited so please ensure someone us there to drop you in case.

Our kids couldn’t believe at first that they were seeing so many Flamingos right in front of them. Entry to the bird viewing point is free and it closes just before sunset. There were other varieties of birds too, but the flamingoes were in abundance. If you are a bird lover, then you must not miss this place. It is indeed very calming and relaxing.
Very little parking space is available. Restrooms are available.

Interesting Flamingos so close to the city. Limited parking and access road difficult to find. Walking to corridor and you get really close. Especially nice when they are feeding the Flamingos. Real nice! Wirth the trip when you are in Dubai!

Very calm and peaceful place to visit away from city crowd and noise. It is not a very big place to visit. Better to visit in weekday to enjoy calmly. Small parking facility and less time allowed for sight and flamingo seeing. Well maintained, hygienic place. No tickets, free to visit.

Such a waste of time. There is an abundance of construction going on around, so I couldn’t even get to the location via Google Maps directions. I ended up giving up.
I would not advise anyone to visit this place. As you will be severely disappointed.
Despite Google advertising Flamingos and other Wildlife, all I can see were construction vehicles, and hoarding. Very disappointed.

Don't go, place is under renovation and completely CLOSED.

Entrance is blocked and there is hardly any place to stop the car on the highway hard shoulder,  there are construction barricades on the entire stretch. I saw cars getting violation tickets ahead of us.

I believe it will remain closed for at least a year or so. They are making a well planned tourist place with a bird watching area over a elevated bridge, a huge parking lot, etc.

nice short activity if you have kids. 
the room is quite small and was packed the day we visited. 
I wish we can be closer to the flamingos, would have the experience much better. 
never the less it is amazing to see all those flamingos gather. 

A quick stop on our way around the city. parking is available but can get busy during busy days/hours. Definitely visit when it's light out. Clean washrooms are always a bonus :)

Nice place to see some birds.. Informatory as well as a good tourist spot.

Best place to observe flamingos. Observation Decks in wooden shelters are placed in two areas. There are only few parking spots. There is no ticket required. Place smells bad. You could see Burj Khalifa (the tallest building in the world) in distant background.

Great place to observe the birds just can’t see many of the except flamingos and it’s open till 4 but make sure to go early before tourist bus arrives

Simple, yet great place to view flamingo and other waders. Very nice hide, although it can get crowded.

I love this place, when I go there, I don’t want to leave, it is beautiful specially if you go feeding time you can see lots of Flamingos. 

I was there once and that’s enough. Place where you can observe flamingos in the wildlife. Strong and unpleasant smell, but it’s nobody’s fault 😉 they are pooping a lot. Small wooden shelter at the end of wooden bridge. Only few parking spots. But it’s for free.

Best place to see lots of Flemingo and you can see them very closely. There area where you can take pictures and if you have zoom lenses, you can capture lots good pictures from here. Parking spaces are available both entrances.

Ras Al Khor is the best place for visitors and naturw lovers. Main attraction is Flamingos. Peoples can take photos also. 
Presently there are three birding hides located on the perimeter of the sanctuary open to the public. Entrance is free and operate from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Saturday to Thursday. Dubai Municipality has taken great efforts to protect and preserve the biodiversity of this delicate ecosystem. The wetland has been fenced off from the public and three birding hides have been built.

Great for nature lovers and wildlife photographers. Make sure you come early as to get a good seat for the bird watching

It's a good place to spot various kinds of birds. It is an ideal place for bird watchers in Dubai. I suggest to go early morning or in the evening before close of the park. It's better to carry your own binoculars especially with image stabilisation. And don't forget to bring your camera with zoom lens.

We can have a great time watching and clicking snaps of migratory birds.

A rare moment of nature amidst the skyscrapers of Dubai. Gate 1 offers the mesmerizing greater flamingo nesting site and Gate 2 offers a plethora of other unique birds in a natural habitat. One can easily spend 30-40 mins at each site. The facility can be visited only by private car or a taxi, and has well kept basic amenities, and it's a free visit

Good to see. It only needs 10 minutes to view the place and take some nice shots.

Some other countries distroy their wild life to make road, buildings... Dubai not only a place for people to enjoy, also birds can enjoy their life.

This sanctuary is a beautiful and tranquil location. Being here is simply peaceful

If you’re a bird watcher you better visit this place. The only downside to it is lack of transportation and people don’t really guide you well. I had quite a bit of trouble getting here however all the effort and trouble was worth it. Check out the image I shared, where else would you see a Heron cat walking on water showing you it’s classic couture feathers.

Stunning view at sunrise... takes you away from the city (burj khakifa view, et al) straight to pure works of nature in no time!

This is one place in Dubai where you can enjoy the drive with the feel of going for a picnic.

Nice place to enjoy and see the birds it was amazing.

If you like wildlife in your face and have a love of birds, hopefully this is the place for you. Many species to see with eagles overhead, numerous species of migratory shorebirds and of course the spectacular flamingos. Don't go too late as they lock up just before 5.30pm. Feeding time is about 4pm and well worth watching.

This is a great spot to visit if you are looking for some peace and nature in the middle of a giant busy city. There are hundreds of Flamingos which are fun to see and watch from the observatory room. However, you NEED a car to come here. No bus stop and taxi drivers have no idea what you are talking about when you try to get picked up. Its just off an extremely busy road so taxis on the road can't really stop.

One of the best place to just have stillness in the middle of a bustling metropolis. A good spot to see wild birds and flamingos. Also, one of the best cheap dates option. Best time to visit here would be during the cold months.
