We absolutely loved the Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo — it’s definitely worth getting the full package to see the penguins, feed the fish, take a boat ride, and even spot the giant crocodiles. The aquarium itself is amazing, with plenty of space for the fish and a great overall experience. The guides along the way were very knowledgeable and added so much value by sharing facts and stories.
The only downside for us was seeing the iguanas and crocodiles in what looked like very small enclosures — it felt a little sad and out of balance compared to the spacious aquarium. Hopefully, these animals will have more room in the future.
Overall, a fantastic and memorable visit, with just this one point leaving us thoughtful.

The overall experience was amazing, but I would like to commend the great staff of the crocodile feeding experience. They took all the necessary safety measures and offered my daughter and me a unique moment. Apart from feeding the crocodiles, they also provided an educational background by giving information and asking questions. Thank you, guys, for having us!

The Dubai Mall Aquarium is truly breathtaking — one of the largest suspended aquariums in the world! You can enjoy a great view of the marine life even without a ticket, right from inside the mall.

But for the full experience, the walkthrough tunnel and underwater zoo are a must. Watching sharks, rays, and hundreds of vibrant fish swim so close feels magical. Great for families, kids, and even adults who love marine life.

Everything is well-maintained and professionally managed. A peaceful escape right in the middle of a busy shopping trip — definitely worth a visit!

One of the highlights was the massive ocean tank—it felt like stepping into an underwater world. Watching sharks, stingrays, etc swim right overhead in the tunnel was awe-inspiring. The jellyfish section was also mesmerizing with its glowing tanks and calming atmosphere.

Recently when my sister was in town, I took her to the Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo at Dubai Mall. We had such a fun time! The place is quite big. The underwater tunnel was our favourite it felt like walking through the ocean with fish and sharks swimming all around us. 🐠🦈 We also saw stingrays, penguins, and so many cool sea animals. All in all It’s a great spot for kids. So If you're in Dubai and looking for something fun and educational for kids, definitely take them here. It’s worth it.

Celebrated my birthday here. It was just simply amazing to see beautiful things and creatures which you don’t normally deal with. I have visited a lot of aquariums and this is one of the bests! Very organize and staff are very helpful too. Saw a lot of different fishes and they are very unique and absolutely beautiful! It was just sad that before we ended the tour we got tempted to buy these glow and the dark shirts, and the staffs there were not really clear with the prices and you will end up paying twice the amount. We heard the customer before us which was very confused why the price suddenly went up, so we made everything clear before buying it. In the end, we were as well got scammed and their only explanation is that they don’t speak english well. Truly unacceptable.

We still hope to visit there again and would never pass by to that shop for us truly enjoy all.

The aquarium is awesome! It's like a magical underwater world with so many cool fish and sea creatures. The big glass tunnel is my favorite – you feel like you're walking underwater. It's a bit crowded sometimes, but seeing all those colorful fish makes it totally worth it!

A treat for the eyes! The concept of an aquarium inside a mall in a prominently arid region is lovely! The ever smiling sting rays, the resting scary sharks, colorful fishes, turtles, raucous parrots, humongous and scary crocodiles, sea dragons... What a nice place to be! Loved it!

Dubai Mall is  a very popular tourist attraction. An astounding variety of exhibits, shops, branded goods, eateries, ice rink and many games for children. You can spend three to four hours looking at various attractions. Dubai Aquarium is a must see which has numerous kinds of marine creatures, penguins and otters. The structure of the Mall is very artistic with lots of space and bright illumination.

Underwhelming. Compared to the google reviews, which seem impossibly favorable having been there, the Dubai aquarium is a nice, small, diversion.  But is not on the level of other aquariums in major cities. There is very little diversity in species presented. A preponderance of fresh water tanks which is fine but not as eye catching. What is there is well maintained. The information cards are very limited. Most of their efforts are to get you to buy photos and gift items. The large marine tank visible from the mall is quite remarkable however.

Overall an interesting place to visit if you never seen one. It has few cool unique features, however does not live up to it's hype.
The huge aquarium itself is seen for free from the outside. In my opinion that is the main attraction.
The information provided for each inhabitant of the zoo is unfortunately limited to the name, so you have to Google to know more.
Search for tickets online to get a good discount.
Took us about 75 minutes to slowly go through the whole exhibition.
BTW, if you are ever in Osaka - make sure to visit their aquarium - it is simply amazing!

It was truly amazing. The staff is so friendly! I did the tour behind the “scenes” and got to see how they run the aquarium. I loved being here, and the vitality of animals is incredible. Al I can wish for is for everyone visiting the aquarium not to tap, slap and knock on the glass of the fish tanks. It’s not nice and they don’t have to be treated like that by us humans. Respect them and view them peacefully. They are living creatures we don’t get to see so take in the time you spend here. It’s truly a magical experience.

A unique aquarium with unique water-animals. It was a fun being there and observing animals strolling in the water. Every thing was good. One thing I would like to mention is that the entrance ticket was included in my travel package and as observed many visitor were watching the aquarium from outside without any ticket as the aquarium is visible from outside also. So if one has planned the trip on his own then the entry can be skipped and the aquarium can be watched from outside. But for underwater zoo entry should be made.

There are many different organisms in the zoo. All were very unique, such beautiful huge size aquarium as I believe its one of the biggest. You can enjoy free view while you walking in Dubai mall as different sea species are swimming in crystal clear water. Meanwhile its payable if you would like to move inside the aquarium tunnel which is more amazing.

I will give four stars to it.  We purchased ticket of explorer package and that included tunnel, aquarium underwater zoo and boat ride.  Although the tunnel was only of around 10 meter or may be little less.  There are around 20000 species live and the place is well maintained.  You will get to see many types of fish, shark, crocodile, a few birds and all.  If you are having kids, then this is a must visit place and they will love to be here.  And for photography there are many good options.  Will recommend surely.  Hit like if you find it useful.

A must do when having guests in town. We've been a couple times before but it is something that just never gets old. 

You first get to go through the underwater tunnel and take amazing photos while spotting sharks, rays and fish of all kinds. 

Entering the main aquarium, the baby sharks (do do do do..) were a highlight. The kids loved discovering the tanks of colourful sealife while parrots flew overhead. Make sure you snap a pic of the massive crocs as well. But my fave had to be the happy-feet penguins who were so playful and friendly.

Put this one on your to-do list during the warmer months if you haven't already. 

I thought to visit Dubai Aquarium this year on my birthday just to make it memorable for my 4 years old and to keep it entertaining for us also. Dubai Aquarium and Dubai Underwater Zoo is such a great place to visit. The largest suspended Aquarium in the world , feelings can’t be explained in words. When you stand in the Aquarium Tunnel and look up , literally breathtaking feel. I enjoyed every moment. In fact while checking the sea creatures in Dubai Underwater Zoo I was more connected with The Creator and the creatures, that how big this universe is and how beautiful Underwater life would be. I saw star fish , crocodile and many more. I didn’t even know that there is a fish named “Pineapple Fish” .

My son learnt a lot. We explored the night life creatures of UAE . Absolutely stunning. Must visit , lifelong memory for your kids. 

I wish these pictures paint the surreal experience of watching an ocean life inside a ten million litre at Dubai Aquarium tank located in @thedubaimall. It is one of the most fabulous attractions in #mydubai, showcasing distinct collection of aquatic life, you definitely need to add when you are exploring UAE. And as you go further up on level 2, Underwater Zoo is a house to many other fishes, penguins, water rats, birds, sea horses, jelly fishes, reptiles etc., you can get up close with. King Croc is a new addition and we were one of the most exciting spectators of this giant reptile. 

A nice place to visit especially with kids. The underwater tunnel was amazing, you see loads of Fishes and Sharks. It’s so nice to be in. while the Underwater zoo was very entertaining and educational. They have many species and information on each one is really good. My children get enough to this place. I see how happy are they exploring the place. We also experience the glass bottom boat ride it’s was really amazing. 💯 % fully recommend place to visit. 


It is very impressive when you see such a big aquarium inside a mall. Staff was friendly and buying tickets didn't take long. Unforgettable fillings under the aquarium when you see all the water world. The zoo was very impressive too. A lot of underwater animals. And it is bigger then you can imagine. The design is great. Just the fact that there is an aquarium/zoo in a mall is impressive but it was a very nice visit also! You can get a special behind the scenes tour and I believe even an option to dive in the main tank. It takes up multiple floors of the mall and can be seen from the outside by all! I enjoy aquariums and all kinds of sea life so it was worth the price of entry for me! Dubai as a whole is NOT a cheap place to visit and this place is no exception, but if you enjoy watching and learning about aquatic life, you can easily spend a few hours here! Caution though because you may not get to see much of the mall if you only have a day. The mall has a lot to offer so I suggest that you choose your priorities ahead of time!

Incredible place to visit. The packages are worth the money. Got the basic package that included the experience, aquarium and visit. That was really good, big place best to know where to start and finish, hold on to your tickets as they are required when entering different areas! They take your picture too but the price is quite expensive.

I had purchased a ticket to the aquarium for my last day in Dubai hoping for a unique, enriching, and educational experience. While it was educational and the animals amazing there were several issues I encountered. The staff seemed more focused on selling photos or souvenirs rather than insuring their guests had a wonderful time. There were several shops and a food stand inside the aquarium itself and that took away some of the magic and beauty behind it. I didn’t pay to see shops I paid to see animals. I would NOT recommend the aquarium unless you are coming for a specific activity or you are with children.

The zoo and the tunnel are by far a great experience. The zoo has a huge variety of funny and cute fish to tame pictures with or of and its take around 2 hours to completely see everything one by one. There is also an aviary inside and a few desert animals. The boat ride and the projector room thingy are a bit overrated, good for children though.

From the outside it looks huge. But the tunnel is a tad disappointing from the inside its not very long and you can kind of see the mall from inside which makes it a bit disappointing, that being said the underwater zoo and other rides they have really good.
If you have seen any other aquarium like the Atlanta one you can probably skip this and save some money for other things.
The under water zoo is good and they have real interesting desert animals and reptiles. Very educational.

I always see the Dubai aquarium from out side, for me its was very mesmerizing. After being in Dubai for two year, I visit this place first time. It's very huge and beautiful, but inside the aquarium little disappointed. It just a tunnel, even so you loved it but expecting too much from inside may be you disappointed. Form my point of view whatever you can see out side that's inf. There no need to spend that much money to go inside to the tunnel.
If anyone (tourist) want to save money than just save it  and spend to see some other attraction rather then spend here. Under water zoo is also nice just one time visit place. Children may more enjoy then adults. After all of these I still suggested save your  money. 
But yes if you got good deal to visit this place then go for it. One time is worth to go.

It was really impressive to walk under the water but not quite to the scale I had imagined it over the years in my mind.  Definitely worth seeing.  Don't miss the piranhas!  And the owls which you get to see really close by if you walk up to the second level.  The mall in general is the biggest, cleanest mall I have ever seen.  You can place your bags on the bins or the floor without hesitation.

When i got to the tunnel I thought it was just the begging of something great. But it was only several meters of tunnel and that's it. I was so disappointed, because I have seen even better aquarium in other places. after that we were redirected to the 3rd floor where I was surprised to see such a great zoo. It was amazing. the most exciting was watching 3 meter crocodiles through the glass floor. Scary and exciting. Generally I was happy to see it.

The exhibits are beautiful, but the place is hot and sometimes I couldn't even hear my tour guide. They take good care of the animals and their glass boat ride is short but nice. This is more like a family place than a date or going by yourself. I loved the variety of animals, fish, parrots, crocodiles, etc. Customer service is nice and buy a picture or two! They're worth the memories

You shouldn't miss this place. Its a wonderful experience down there. The blue colour of the ocean makes a very good lighting for bright images. There is a zoo which has got huge varieties of animals. Such as owl, crocodile, jelly fish etc.
If required you can feed the fishes and also take a boat ride over the aquarium.
Its really worth it.

Dubai is always fun stop for me, Visited Aquarium 3rd time with my fam and loved it every single time. they have very amazing tour and Friendly staff. you will not be disappointed. Great place for kids to learn about marine life and experience it  on site. definitely a stop for any one visiting Dubai 1st time. keep up the good work :)

What I also love in this place are the people working together to make your day fun and so much unforgettable.

Dubai mall has a really Amazing Aquatic Place where several species of Aquatic animals are there for you, it will totally make you feel as if you’re in there with Them. They’ve made it really good. One who loves aquatic creatures must visit, it’s a perfect place to experience it.😃
I purchase the Combo ticket, I experienced that those who had not purchase the tickets can also view the aquarium from the other side totally. 
So there’s an option if you wish to take the glimpse of aquarium and not interested to purchase the ticket you can take this option too.

After the tunnel, proceed upstairs to a fascinating aquarium. Highlight was the guided tour of the top of the tank area and photographs presented in a fact-filled book. Our first guide was exceptionally enthusiastic and well informed. We would have appreciated a guide to take us up the 2 floors between the entrance to the aquarium and the main section. Nevertheless, a wonderful experience for adults and children.

Awesome.. unbelievable experience. Well the entry fee is expensive but it is worth. There are different types of entries with different rates. The most expensive as well as outstanding is under water diving in these marine aquarium among fishes which include sharks. Even though without the under water diving we can enjoy the marine aquarium from outside. Feels like we are walking under the ocean. its better to watch these fish at the feeding time.

Dubai aquarium in Dubai mall. At very reasonable price, you can see all different kinds of fishes, water creatures and other animals and birds. It's an aquarium and a zoo inside the mall. Was an amazing experience. Would recommend to everyone. You can shop and have an adventures walk inside the aquarium.

Attraction to kids.. There are entrance fee to get inside the Aquarium and you can feed the food to fish with additional charges. Lots of variety fishes and well maintained. Earlier you could go near to the  glass wall to see the fish bit closer, but now they have made barricade to keep the people away. Crazy busy during the weekends and public holidays.

We reached at an time.. When it wasn't over crowded so had ample time to read.. And view the spectacular man made beauty.. Ticket prices were a bit steep.. But overall it was good.. If smell of stagnant water could be better dealt with I would have given 5 stars

Dubai aquarium : Too good for kids
Its just superb. Fun and good learning experience for Kids. A great place in the Dubai Mall. Different types of fishes and sea creatures are there in it. Enjoyable break from shopping at dubai mall.
The tickets can be booked online or can be purchased there at ticket counter. We did not find any crowd for tickets. More options of diving into the aquarium was also available which we did not chose.

Really amazing, especially the tunnel with the sharks is incredible. Great place to bring kids. I can't believe all this is in a shopping mall (Ok a huge one, but still... a more than 30 min long visit aquarium in a shopping mall... wow!). For sure I will come back here again.

It’s one of the most beautiful things to see in Dubai. Located inside Dubai Mall which makes it even easier for people to visit while doing their shopping or dining. It has great collection of marine wildlife and it’s very easy for one to take a selfie with a shark or any creature from the deep sea

Wonderful experience. Kids would be more excited. Really a close veiw of sharks were more thrilling. Appreciate the maintenance. They huge crocodile was another attraction to the tourist.

Lovely place, a lot of variety. Good view from the top boat and the transparent bottom. The sharks hitting the boat with their heads. So cool! Circling around, you see a restaurant and a "Jungle" on the second (or third) floor. :))

I went there three times, the last one was with my parents when they visited Dubai. The experience is divided into three stages, each on a separate floor. The good thing about it is that you get to see all these weird and amazing creatures in the last stage (one of them was transparent). The thing that needs improvement is that you can get lost moving from one floor to another. This needs to be more organized and with clear path with signs and so on.

It was a great experience and kids really enjoyed it. The underwater tour was bit in rush and could have been done better. Some of the marine animals were of rare category and the overall sequence was pretty good. It was bit expensive but worth seeing one time. Loved starfish, baby whales, baby tortoise and many others. Go for it!

One of best spot in Dubai. It gives you a lots of information about sea creatures and their cultures. One of the amazing thing was shark breeding happening inside aquarium to compensate the shark extinction,that was really a new thing where people outdoor doesn’t knows about that. Must go with kids and kids can learn a lot and enjoy.

A little disappointing in how they usher you around and babble in half sentences. Don't bother paying for any of the access. The best views are from the outside in front of candylicious. The inside is a rodeo of employees trying to get you through the poor, limited exhibits as fast as possible. The only inside part I enjoyed was the tunnel at the beginning. 
Otherwise definitely worth seeing from the outside where you can see all the same fish you see inside (it's one big tank).
Also, if you go early in the day, before 5pm, there is a tiny crowd compared to after 5pm.

Visited on a Friday still the place wasn't overcrowded. Ended up choosing the 120 AED plan and was soon greeting with a whole host of fun experiences. The tunnel is usually where all the sharks hang out. Submersible simulator is very gimmicky although there is no match to the  aquarium glass bottom boat ride. Overall it's a fun place to visit with your family & friends.

A good place to visit with kids! Enjoy Marine life. Great views and good infrastructure. Likewise feeling the marine life from inside of sea. Great collection of fishes and varied sea creatures.

I've just one word for Dubai Aquarium and it's 'Outstanding'. The world should learn from Dubai how to make such an amazing facility in a compact space like a mall. In a 3-level aquarium - there's an Aquarium Tunnel, Underwater Zoo, Submersible Simulators, Glass-bottom Boat ride, Big Screen Theatre, Breeding center for Sharks, Jelly fishes, Seahorses, King Crocodile, Pengiuns, Ray feeding, 100s of sea animals as well as birds and a souvenir area. To explore all this peacefully, you would need at least 3 hours of time. You simply cannot ask for more.

Absolutely amazing and well worth a visit. The aquarium is huge with so many different fish and animals. I didn't expect to see such a large range of animals and to be able to go 'behind the scenes' to see how the fish are reared and fed.

We bought Explorer experience tickets, so we saw many things here. The big aquarium you can see without tickets, other attractions are for money. At first, you go through the tunnel. You can see many water animals. Next attraction was Aquarium glass bottom boat. This trip lasts about 15 minutes. You sail at the top of the aquarium, which you see in Dubai Mall. And the last thing was the underwater zoo. Many water animals. You can see very, very big crocodile and nice penguins.

My little sister enjoyed a lot watching the marine animals and glass base boat ride was a lot of fun for all of us. If you are traveling with a family, its worthwhile to buy Entertainer (Buy 1, Get 1 Free) to save on ticket costs.

The price for the professional photos is quite high but if you have your own camera you don't really need to buy them. I highly recommend it.

Did the Shark Scooter, Shark Encounter & Ray Feeding at Dubai Aquarium. The staff is so friendly & amazing! Chris from Al boom diving was taking care of all my experiences. While we were feeding the rays, I saw him coming down & personally testing the Shark Scooter before I ride it. 
Even the shark encounter was amazing, the diver along with me was constantly asking me if I was okay & breathing well. he took great pictures & videos too! :) 
The Shark Scooter was something unique & an entirely different experience. There is a yellow scooter like equipment which you have to drive around in the Dubai Aquarium with all the fishes, sharks & stingrays swimming around! Finally got to enter this enthralling tank which I have been staring at and have been marvelled by, every time I visit Dubai Mall!

A place with picturesque beauty. A vast variety of creatures, both powerful and eloquent were present here. I had a wonderful experience there as they had extremely well themed walkways as well. They also provided the name and lots of information about the creatures, which was interesting as well as informative. They have done an amazing job with the place providing very little scope for error.

The aquarium is placed in the center of The Dubai Mall . The best awesomeness is that you can enjoy this aquarium from outside without buying a ticket . you can go there and you can click some photos and if you have a good knowledge about fishes. than you can enjoy more by seeing some colorful fishes doing water stunts. 
But this place is so much crowded all the time.

The aquarium is very cool for being inside a centre. The big tank is very captivating to look at, both from the tunnel under or from the boats at the top. Otherwise, the "submarine simulator" was a joke with almost no movements and a low-budget childish CGI video. Other aquariums usually have more exhibitions/displays with more variety. Several of the "activities" are animation/video but at an aquarium you want the real thing. I enjoyed the day and it wasn't too crowded, but very poor value for money and overall not that impressed.

Have you ever thought of a big Aquarium inside a shopping mall? Well, that's what it makes it unique. Leisure shopping and nice view of varieties of fish. Can give it a try. Look for offer prices.

Very different from other aquariums they have interesting glass boat ride where you get top view of the fishes as if you are looking down a pond of a fish tank. Truely amazing.

Mesmerizing! I could sit here and watch this aquarium for hours! Even tried the diving experience which was lovely. Definitely recommend coming here when you're in Dubai.

Brilliant place this. The scenes are amazing and you would feel fantastic to see the fishes just swimming around in one of the biggest aquariums in the world.

You can pay and goto the underwater zoo and even the tunnel. Both of which are a fun one time experience! 

Take lots of pictures when allowed and do respect the signs if they've mentioned not to take pictures in prohibited areas.

Awesome display. Very nice scenario full of enticement. Sharks, Boat like white fishes seem like Water-Angels.

Good looking from the outside however its not worth the money to buy a ticket to go into the tunnel. Also they will take a photo of you however you'll have to pay some other ridiculous price for that too. Overall very good buy quite expensive. Good for a one time go.

great experience. as most of the things in Dubai, aquarium is build to highest standard and it give you a top level experience. this place can been enjoyed by both adults and kids. As this is inside the Dubai Mall, it is very easy to get there. experience of seeing sea predators like shark close up is very interesting.

So it's huge! As you'd expect of course! And it's in the middle of the Mall! They seem to have added more "paid" options since I was last there (which we didn't do) though I noticed there are bunch of youngsters there to sell you discounted tickets! But for a trip to the Mall it's well worth swinging by to see the sharks!
