Try this Rainbow Experiment with cabbage leaves at home. All you need is cabbage leaves, water, food dye and leave them overnight.

It will make way for lots of hypothesizing...

“What do you think will happen to the water when I add this dye?”

“What do you think will happen to the level of the water when I add this leaf?”

“What do you think will happen if I mix this colour with this colour?”

Kids will be excited to see the leave change colour the next morning and they can follow the path of dye up the leaves.
