The Museum of Kom Ushim is located at the entrance of the Greco-Roman town, Karanis which was one of the largest cities in Fayoum built by the Ptolemies in the third century The museum consists of two floors and exhibits collections from the Prehistoric era to the Greco-Roman era as well as a collection from the Coptic and the Islamic era. The masterpiece of the museum is a Fayoum Mummy Portrait of a man and the labels are in Arabic and English. Also, the museum includes many antiquities, glassware, jewelry, and pottery discovered on the site.
