Here's an old-school game we used to play all the time on holidays. All you need is 2 players, paper and 2 different coloured pens. Start out with an empty grid of dots- you can download ours here! Players take turns drawing a single horizontal or vertical line between two un-joined dots. they cant be diagonal of course as the aim is to complete a box. The player who completes the fourth side of a 1×1 box earns one point and gets another turn. Once completed, players write their initial inside their box to keep track of who completed each. The aim is to get as many boxes with your initial as possible! Dots and Boxes ends when there are not more lines that can be placed.
