Al Wathba Fossil Dune Protected Area

The public can now visit the Al Wathba Fossil Dune Protected Area. It's the UAE's first park of its sort, allowing visitors to view over 1,700 rare fossil dunes in a responsible manner. On Saturday, February 5, 2022, the Al Wathba Fossil Dune Protected Area opened. It will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day of the week. The site will be open until 11 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, as well as on statutory holidays. There are 7 kilometers of instructional pathways, a visitor center, and an amphitheatre on the property. The protected region is 45 kilometers east of Abu Dhabi's city center. Visitors to the fossil dunes can also expect to see music and light shows throughout the opening hours, which can be seen from the ampitheatre area, which can accommodate 200 people. In designated areas, there will also be food and beverage trucks.
