5/6 Park and the Maze

There's a new park in town with unique elements. It is conveniently situated close to the city's business and tourist hotspots and is reachable through the Doha Metro. The park is home to a sizable plant maze that was inspired by the human fingerprint and shaped like Qatar's map. Signage bearing the names of Qatar's coastal cities (Ruwais, Dukhan, Umm Bab, Al Khor, Doha, Al Wakra, Mesaieed, and Salwa) can be found at the maze's entrance and exit points. But don't expect a complex hedge maze just yet. The bushes are still growing, and entering and exiting the maze is simple. A 5m-tall hill next to the maze offers visitors a 360-degree panorama of the park and the surroundings. The 5/6 Arches (Al Wahda Arches), the Doha skyline, close-by hotels, and the Maze will all be visible from here. Other features are art instalations, murals, Playground, Jogging track and walkways, Bike track and Learn to Bike. There's also a Theater/Event Plaza, Prayer rooms, fitness equipment, toilets and more.
