Spring break is in full swing, the weather is still pleasant, and it’s almost Easter time as well, for those celebrating. The beauty of living in the UAE, is celebrating many cultures at the same time. You can enjoy a beautiful iftar and suhoor one evening and take your kids to an egg hunt the next day, and it’s part of what makes living in the Emirates so special and enriching.

Easter Brunches: If you would like to take your family to a lovely Easter brunch, there are lots of options like the family brunch at McCafferty’s in Wafi, where kids under 10 eat for free! At McCafferty’s they will keep your kids occupied all day with pizza making, a swimming pool and bouncy castle, mini golf and much more. At the legendary Easter brunch at The Ritz Carlton, there’s a luxurious buffet, live shows and face painting.

At Pergolas in Swissotel they’re offering a wide selection of live stations and a kids’ corner. At Tr88house Entertainment Center in Bluewaters, they also have an Easter brunch on for kids that includes special Easter activities, an egg hunt, and a kids meal and ice cream. If you’re in Abu Dhabi, there’s an Egg-citing Easter brunch on at Fairways the Westin with an appearance by the Easter bunny, live entertainment, and, of course, an egg hunt.

Easter Activities: Besides brunch celebrations, there are various Easter-themed activities going on around town that kids will really enjoy. At Mamalu’s Kitchen on the Palm, they’re running special Easter Mini Chef classes, teaching kids to make everything from an Easter brunch to an Easter Cake. At Lapita Hotel, plan your Easter staycation and let your kids join in on the region’s largest Easter egg hunt at Dubai Parks and Resorts, as well as roaming live entertainment and performances, and a special Easter brunch.

If you’re looking for a flexible spring break camp that can be daily, at Tr88house you can drop your kids off for a morning, afternoon or full day of trampoline, laser tag, glow-in-the-dark mini golf and more. For some fun and seasonal Easter egg painting, have lunch at the Address beach resort, and your kids can buy an Easter egg painting kit to decorate while you’re there.

Spring Activities: Some other seasonal fun activities are Ripe Market’s Ramadan souq, which is happening all day every Saturday and Sunday at Academy Park in Umm Suqeim. There’s messy play, face painting, Arabic sweets, and kids under 12 enter free. This Spring break is also the best time to take your family to IMG Worlds of Adventure before the weather heats up, as they’re having a flash sale with tickets for only 225 dirhams!

Get outdoors and enjoy a relaxing and scenic Iftar at Longbeach Campground in Ras Al Khaimah with a signature live barbecue and the relaxing sounds of the waves and soft live music.

At Home Plans: If you can’t get out or your kids need a break, there are lots of fun Easter activities that you can do at home. For some downtime, put on an Easter movie or show like Hop, Peter Rabbit or Nailed It Easter edition. To engage the kids, have them do some Easter crafts. There are so many ideas on the QiDZ app, like Easy Easter Cookies.

When you’re spending the day at home, you can hide chocolate eggs and small toys and have the kids find them for an at-home egg hunt. Younger kids will also love to eat their lunch on a blanket or towel in the living room or garden. Add their favorite stuffed toys or dolls, and you have a teddy bear’s picnic!
