At QiDZ, we believe in the power of community and the importance of supporting local businesses, especially those led by inspiring women like you.
As part of our “Empower Her” campaign, we are excited to feature women-owned businesses in the UAE on our platform.
We would love to learn more about your business and share your story with our community.

1. Can you tell us a little about your business and what inspired you to start it?

Dardasha was created to foster the love of the Arabic language and to encourage its early development through casual education and everyday conversation (“دردشة”). Founded by Reem Madkour and Nabih AlHajji Dardasha aims to honor our mother-tongue and reinvigorate the ways in which it is taught to young children, by making it fun, whimsical, accessible, and relatable, while incorporating results from studies all over the world for the most effective language development experience. Dardasha was founded in 2019 and since has grown a community of parents and early educators that share in the passion for preserving the Arabic language and culture. Initially beginning with the launch of books addressing first words, first sentences, and stories, Dardasha has expanded to encompass all aspects of early childhood language development including toys, learning tools, and digital resources

2. What unique products or services does your business offer that you believe set you apart?

We offer high quality, science-backed and FUN early Arabic language learning resources.

3. What has been the most rewarding aspect of running your own business?

Seeing so many children fall in love with the Arabic language through our products.

4. How do you see your business contributing to the local community in the UAE?

We are helping raise new generations of proud Arab children.

5. What was the biggest challenge you faced when starting your business, and how did you overcome it?

My imposter syndrome! But trusting that I have the ability to learn the ins and outs of operating a business and figure it out along the way.

6. What message or advice would you like to share with other aspiring women entrepreneurs?

Don’t let the fear of failure or mistakes stop you from taking the plunge and trying something new because you stand to learn and gain so much!

We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to feature your business on QiDZ and look forward to hearing your story!
