With the weather getting hotter every day, we are thinking of our family’s favourite summer foods!
Something that the whole family loves is Chicken Strips. We found a fantastic recipe online for almond crusted chicken strips. So, we tried it and loved it.
Here’s the recipe for you to try:
Chicken Strips Ingredients:
- 1 Egg White
- 1 Tbsp Water
- ¼ Cup Whole Wheat Flour
- ½ Cup Panko Breadcrumbs
- 1/3 Cup Almond Flour
- 1 Tsp Paprika
- ½ Tsp Garlic Powder
- ¼ Tsp Salt
- ¼ Tsp Pepper
- 10 Chicken Tenders
Dip Ingredients
- ¼ Cup Light Mayonnaise
- 1 Tbsp Honey
- 1 Tbsp Dijon Mustard
- 1 Tsp Cider Vinegar
Directions
Line a baking sheet with foil and coat with cooking spray. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
Add the egg white and water in a shallow dish.
Place the whole wheat flour in a second shallow dish.
Combine panko, almond flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a third shallow dish.
One piece at a time, dip the chicken in the flour, then in the egg, then in the crumb mixture to coat. Arrange on the prepared baking sheet.
Arrange the chicken strips on a prepared baking sheet.
Bake the chicken and flip the pieces halfway through until they are golden brown – about 18-20 minutes.
How to make the dip:
Combine the mayonnaise, honey, Dijon mustard and cider vinegar.
Serve the chicken strips with the dip and enjoy!
