Celebrating Women’s Day: Q&A With QiDZ Head Of Marketing

We are nearing the end of March but will always continue to be inspired by women around us! Today we’re sharing with you our International Women’s Day interview with QiDZ Head Of Marketing & Co-Founder, Nourhan Hassan. Read the interview below:

What is one way that you take time for yourself during the week?

I make time for myself to get active by going to the gym, a workout class, or simply going for a walk outdoors! It really makes me feel refreshed and ready for the rest of the day.

What pressures do you go through and what makes you feel stronger?

The pressure of balancing my time between working, spending time with my family, and doing things I love. Reassuring myself that giving priority to things that matter to me and focusing on myself isn’t a bad thing, on the contrary, it helps me feel better and consequently, give more (with quality) to my family.

How do you manage your time between running a business and a family?

Organizing my time is key to managing all the different duties. I always block my calendar to not miss any important school, family or social event. Having the flexibility to work from anywhere and at anytime definitely helps me juggle my schedule as fits!

What do you think makes a great mom?

Happy moms are great moms! Kids need a lot of love, patience, support and fun- and to be able to give all this, we need to be happy ourselves. I think it’s so important to accept our kids as they are, and to avoid comparing them to other kids or to our own dreams and expectations. And last but not the least, we need to be good mentors and role models for our kids as they copy what they see!

Advice for women wanting to start their own business?

Believe in yourself, do research to validate your business idea, educate yourself and keep up to date with the industry trends, take calculated risks, choose the right team to support you, and always ask for help and feedback.
