Getting your kids to eat food with the right nutrients and vitamins isn’t always the easiest task. That’s why we love these smoothies for kids! Not only are they pretty easy to make and delicious, they are packed with nutritious ingredients and goodness.
So, here are 5 healthy and delicious smoothies for kids that you can make today:
Tropical Smoothie
A delicious smoothie that hides the spinach through the sweetness of the fruit, here’s what you need for it:
- 250ml coconut milk
- 250ml coconut water
- 1 banana
- 200g frozen tropical fruit (ex. pineapple, kiwi, papaya etc…)
- 50g fresh spinach
Just add to a smoothie maker or blender.
Vibrant Banana and Berries 2-Part Smoothie
The kids love the flavours in this smoothie! From strawberries to bananas, it’s one parents will enjoy as well.
Green Smoothie:
- 1 frozen banana
- 2 handfuls of baby spinach
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1 tsp honey or maple syrup
Pink Smoothie:
- 1 frozen banana
- 8 frozen strawberries
- 1/2 cup almond milk
Blend all of the ingredients for the green smoothie and add to a glass, then blend all of the ingredients of the pink smoothie and put on top of the green smoothie. If the kids like almonds, add some flaked almonds on top of the smoothie. It’s pretty and delicious!
Sunshine Smoothie
Looking for a hit of Vitamin C? Then this is the smoothie for you and the family. Full of vitamins and nutrients from the delicious and easy to find fruit, it’s a delicious and refreshing smoothie to start the day with.
- 1 orange
- 1 banana
- 250ml / 1 cup orange juice
- 250g / 1 cup plain yogurt
- handful of ice
Just add to blender, mix and drink!
Blueberry Smoothie
This smoothie requires just 3 ingredients and is super easy to make, plus it’s delicious and packed with anti-oxidants.
- 6 ounces low-fat blueberry yogurt
- 1/2 cup ice cubes
- 1/4 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
Blend and drink.
Mango and Banana Smoothie
It’s almost mango season so it’s the perfect to make this delicious tropical smoothie that everyone at home will love. Here’s what you need:
- 1 Cup sliced bananas
- 1 Cup diced mangoes
- 1 Orange peeled and cut into sections
- 1 cup coconut milk (or almond milk)
- Handful of ice
